I am a great-great grandson of the Rev. Jackson M. Lowry, who lived near
Cave-in-Rock and is buried in Shewmaker Cemetery. I have a book that has
been transcribed from his handwritten journals, and which has been converted
into a PDF. I would like to share with you. These particular records are
mostly from the 1920s; they include marriages he solemnized, births, deaths,
and all sorts of other things about his life.
I should note, most of the people listed by first name only are Barnards.
His daughter Ollie Ethel Lowry married Henry Barnard. Many of the Barnards,
including my grandmother, lived in and around Shawneetown.
